Day 4 of Chalean

So on April 1st I started Chalean extreme, its mainly weight lifting and muscle building. Day 1 wasn't bad, day 2 was rest, Day 3 was more weight training and I was surprised how some things I could use heavier weights than I expected. Today was cardio, Burn intervals and abs. I had to pause and sit down for a bit during Burn intervals because I got tired out from working so hard. Still it felt good otherwise it alternated weight training, very light weights and it was more for endurance. Then some cardio, the moves were all fairly easy some kick boxing from Turbo Fire. So far no scale or inches lost but I will check again on Monday for my weekly check ins.

Shakeology

As you all know I am a beachbody coach, I decided to coach to keep myself motivated as well as motivating others and it really helps a lot. Well we have this GREAT shake called shakeology you drink it once a day as snack or a meal. I mix mine up as my lunch normally. I do chocolate silk, shakeo and pb, sometimes I throw in some nutella if we have it on hand. Right now Shakeology is $119.95 it will be going up $10 as of April 1st. If you buy yours on home direct now you will have the lower price for LIFE on non vegan! So get in on this great deal. Every order of Shakeology this month comes with the shaker cup for FREE! I use a blender for mine but its up to you on how you want to make it. Shakeology is made of all natural ingredients no chemicals and its super healthy. Trust me I have done all the other shakes out there and this by far is the best in all areas.

Making a plan

So I will be finishing up Turbo fire in 2 weeks!!! I am so excited!! I hate seeing it end but I am happy to officially finish a program the whole way through. My goal is about 4 days before the end I will start Brazilian Butt Lift Master Series, I tried to double up when i first got the BBL dvd a few weeks ago and 90 minutes of workout was pushing it for me. I was EXHAUSTED! I am not ready for all of that just yet. So I figure a few days of overlapping will be fine with me.

I had a lot of fun with BBL when I started it and omg my arms and legs and buns were SORE!!! I am sure this will be an awesome workout for me. I then need to take 6weeks off and I will be going back into it with Hip Hop Abs! I also will be doing my first 5K, I will like walk that but I think it will be a lot of fun and I am looking forward to it. I eventually would like to try the couch to 5k program so I can start getting into running. Fingers are crossed for me to reach my goal by summer!!! I have 5months to lose 28lbs!!! I hope I can do it!! I am going to work REALLY hard to hit that goal.

What are your goals? Don't make resolutions those are easy to give up on. Make a goal and stick to it. Take it baby steps with weight loss and just keep going. I started with okay 5 lbs or get out of the 200's.. Now my goal is to hit 159lbs.. I have 9lbs to go but I am going to try my best! It's the small goals and taking it one day at a time. We all want to wake up and have the weight come off overnight but it never works out that way. Hard work pays off..

Another day down

I am into my 10 th week and I was telling my best friend and coach how I didn't see a change. I mean I know there is a change and I notice it more in my clothing than anywhere else but still sometimes you just don't see it for yourself. Sometimes you just see yourself as you always have and its hard to change the way you look at yourself. This journey is a lot of self reflection, discipline and hard work. I think sometimes we take who we are and how we look for granted. If you see yourself as perfect that is great, but we are always a work in progress, there is always something we need to work on. Not just the outside but who we are inside. Sometimes I feel like I have been working out forever, I cannot wait for a small break from it and changing my routine. I am excited to try a new workout routine and see how I change from that. I want to build muscle and tone myself up some more. I don't want to look like a body builder and most normal women won't if they lift weights we just tone up not bulk up not without enhancement.

I think people see those of us who work out as fanatics and not normal. Coaching for me isn't about sales, its about helping people. I LOVE to help people! I want to show others that they CAN do it. I once thought I was too overweight, and I could never get myself into shape. I thought I would have to do some drastic dieting and boring gym workouts which I do not have time for with 2 children and its expensive! I know a lot of people tell me so is what I am doing, but I would rather pay 1 fee for a workout and have it for whenever I want than spend $100/month for a gym membership where I have to drop the kid off to be watched or work around my husband's schedule to get out of the house. The wonderful thing is they have a 30 day money back guarantee on everything for the most part, so if you don't think its working for you return it and get a refund or sell it on ebay. Trust me people are always looking for the workouts from beachbody.

My goal is to buy and look decent in a bikini by summer, big goal I know.. I still struggle with the baby scars of stretch marks, those are still something that I am not completely comfortable with. I know most moms have them, its just hard to get over feeling awkward about them I guess. Is that the right word? We feel awkward?? I am not ashamed of them, I just feel like they are not accepted in society with all these perfect flawless, air brushed models out there. Okay enough of this for today. Workout have fun, eat healthy. Diet is 80%, Exercise is only 20%.

Long time no write....

I know its been awhile, I have since become a Team Beach Body coach and I am hoping to inspire others to end the trend with me. I have worked SO hard, I have had setbacks because I am human and I mess up. I am closing in on a 50lbs weight loss VERY close like 1lb from it. I have 3 weeks left of Turbo Fire and I LOVE it!!! I think my next victim will be Brazilian Butt Lift master series. I am also hoping to do the Ultimate Reset come March sometime. You cannot work out while doing a reset so since I have been ordered 6 weeks of rest after an upcoming surgery I will just use that time to continue to better myself. I am loving Shakeology I use it to replace lunch usually. So today I went to the mall with my mom and I bought a pair of size 8 jeans!!! December 2011 I was wearing size 18!!! I have still 29lbs till my goal weight but I feel confident that I can reach my goal by June if I keep pushing myself. I think after my break I will jump into Hip Hop Abs for something fun and then work into Chalean Extreme to tone up and lose some more weight.

If you want to know more feel free to ask me!

Under 180

I have finally hit the mark I wanted which was to be in the 170's, I take it a set at a time right now. I weighed in for my group I am in on FB yesterday and was 179.7 I had to weigh myself twice to believe it! Another 2.7lbs till I am in just the overweight BMI range for my height. Also I will then be at -40lbs! Every small milestone is a challenge but I am determined to succeed at this. I set small goals, I do have a BIG goal in mind and that is to be 140lbs. For now I keep it simple and realistic. I started out last December weighing in at 218lbs, I decided then and there NO MORE! I would get healthy, I would lose weight. So I started doing 30 day shred, and doing slim fast shakes. My goals were small 10lbs at a time is how I take it. My focus was to hit 199lbs, then I said okay I want to hit 183 lbs which is what I weighed when I got pregnant for each child. My current goal is 173lbs which is what I weighed after each of my kids were born.  Baby steps, weight loss and goals are baby steps. You should have a long term goal, but give yourself small goals.

When I lost 10lbs my hubby had to shave his goatee, if I hit 20lbs it had to stay off till I say you can have it back. These silly things helped me, he cheers me on every time I hit lose something even if its only half a pound. Having support is so helpful, I also put my background on my computer to saying "If you don't want to start over, stop giving up." Everytime I think, ugh I don't want to workout I see that and think " Okay just do it, do what you can and just push!" My new goal is to hit 169 by December, I want to be another 10lbs lighter for my hubby's work party. It will be the lightest I have been since I can ever remember.

My workouts I have done are:
Insanity( I have done 2 rounds of month 1 since I kept giving up)
30 Day Shred (off and on for a few months)
Turbo Fire(current)

You can do this, you can lose weight, its not easy. Set small attainable goals, I have NOT given up how I normally eat. I currently have 1 body by vi shake per day, I eat smaller normal meals, I only have ice cream once in awhile. I eat pizza, I go out to dinner and have a burger. Just remember you have to do moderation and watch you calorie intake for the day.

2 more days down

Well I am happy to report my abs are finally feeling less sore, core 20 was killer on my abs. My weight is back on the down swing (woo hoo)! Tomorrow is a rest day for me and I am looking forward to it. Fire workouts are still fun except I still feel like this uncoordinated weirdo during it. HIIT is still hard for me but I follow the modified person to help myself out a bit. I felt better over the weekend with Fire 30 like I was kind of getting the hang of the moves. I had to do 40 minutes of Stretch Monday and it was BORING!

I have so far lost 1 " in my waist and 1" in each thigh. Not a whole lot of change but its a start. I am still excited by it and I am working hard on improving my diet, I am back to logging my food/water intake onto My fitness pal, I love that website its SO helpful! I also love getting recipes from Pinterest it keeps things interesting and gives me new foods to try out. I am not a huge breakfast eater normally but between Pinterest and my Abs Diet Cookbook I have found things I will eat for breakfast. I think I need to go shopping for things to make my Abs Diet Burger, its delicious!!!

Day 7 done

Yesterday we took the kids to the amusement park and spent most of the day walking around and riding rides. So I wound up not doing my workout since we were gone most of the day and then by the time we got home I was tired. So today was my day 7 so I have done a weeks worth so far. I am pretty proud of myself for doing it even on the weekend so far. Today was Core 20 and Stretch 40. Core was pretty good workout and I am sure my abs will be feeling it tomorrow, today stretch was like doing yoga basically. You go through the moves slowly and then on the second and third set of it you move a little quicker.

A week in and my weight is up 5lbs, I am really sad about this. I am going to pre make myself some breakfasts so I can have things fast and easy this week with my older kid going back to school on Thursday. I am hoping some of the gain is muscle since I keep trying to keep my eating in check. My goal by end of September is to be under 180lbs let's see if I can do that.

Day 6 yesterday

Sorry I forgot to update yesterday. I am keeping up and staying on track and completed my day 6, my weight is currently up 3lbs but I fully intend on getting back to better eating today so I can bring that back down and really get the weight off again. I am sore now from the workouts but not unbearably sore. I feel like I have more energy each day, but I am also sleeping better at night which is nice.

I think in a few months I am going to attempt to train for a 5k, I full intend on starting to take walks often now which I am hoping will help with my weight loss. Everyday is a struggle with my weight and it makes me unhappy but I have to get my mind back into thinking about everything I am doing before I do it. I am considering becoming a coach for beachbody to help others who want to lose weight and whom are struggling since I know how it feels and how far you can come with hard work.

Signing off for now, will update later with my Day 7 workout.

Day 5 killed it!

Okay so I didn't kill it, but I am exhausted! I still feel like I am going really slow but I know I will get faster in time. I know I say that a lot. Today was Fire 55 EZ.. not as easy as it sounds, I assure you! This was my first long class and it was rough to say the least but I am all hot and sweaty so it must be doing something. I am slightly sore today so it must mean I am working my muscles as of right now my weight is up and I am not pleased, maybe if I get lucky by some miracle my weight will go back down over the weekend. Another Fire 30 and Stretch 10 tomorrow. Sunday is Core 20 and Stretch 40 so I have a feel my abs will be super sore come Monday.

Workout done

I just finished my first TF workout, I did the new to class which she shows you the moves and then goes into the workout part. Its a little more time consuming this way but it helps. I will say this its a great workout, she moves FAST, I was left in the dust kind of lost a couple of times but I did the moves I could get in. I burned 336 calories between Fire 30 and Stretch 10. Its a great dancey, kick boxing type of workout. The stretch is some yoga moves and she does some great stretching. She has a person doing modified moves so its a little lower intensity if you are not ready for it.A great workout all in all. Let's hope I can stick with this for 20 weeks!

Turbo Fire Day 1

So today I am going to start doing Turbo Fire, I have done Insanity I never got past month 1 though because  life kept getting crazy. So I looked into TF, I ordered it and decided I am going to do this and I plan on completing it. I know it will not be easy of course it won't! I am not in shape or very fit, I struggled with Insanity I could not make it through a full 45min DVD it was hard. Some things got easier for me and I was lasting longer and I notice the change in my body. I have lost almost 10lbs since starting Insanity and it changed my body. I went from a size 14 to a size 12/10ish. Let me give you a little background.

My weight loss journey started in December 2011, I had my son in 2010 and lost all the weight. Then in 2011 my weight started to creep up, I had problems sleeping and I just couldn't stop eating. Finally in September I went to my dr asking what was going on since I could not sleep. He told my my thyroid levels were too high but just to nap and cut back on coffee. I laughed at him, I drink 1 cup of coffee as soon as I wake up usually 7am. Napping was a joke, I had a 10month old at home plus I was running my consignment shop, when on earth was I supposed to nap? Not to mention I would get home from working put the baby down for his nap and them my older child would come home from school. So I decided to call in another dr. He tested my levels, and weighed me, I was tipping the scales at 218lbs, for me that was my highest ever and I always told my friends to shoot me if I got to 200lbs. So he gave my meds for my thyroid and told me that would help me to not eat as much and I might get some sleep too. He also prescribed me some Ambien. In December I had gone down to 213lbs my levels were going down but not enough. So he doubled my dosage of thyroid meds and I decided to start slim fast diet, in January of 2012 I started 30 Day Shred. Between all of this I have lost 35lbs!!!! I am much happier to be smaller but I have another 50lbs I would like to lose. So its my challenge and my goal to myself to be a hot mom. I will post my weight stats weekly, and my measurements monthly. I went from a size 18 in jeans in December to almost a size 10 now. I have never been active or fit. I used to walk a lot as a teen, now I am a SAHM and I don't do much for exercise other than chasing a toddler all over. I want to be active and look good for my hubby. So that is my goal to lost 50lbs. I take my goals 10lbs at a time usually.

TF Day 1
weight-182.1lbs
Chest-37"
Waist-33"
Hips- 42"
Thigh L-26"
Thigh R-26"

I will post this evening to let you know how I made out with TF, I normally work out during my son's afternoon nap so I will try to post right after. I will also be adding pictures as I learn how.
